The Combat Recovery Foundation works to ensure no veteran fights their battles alone. Rooted in the belief that shared experiences and genuine connection are the cornerstones of healing, CRF provides practical, accessible support systems for military veterans, trauma survivors, and first responders navigating life after service.
Core Pillars & Programs
Fostering Community: Organizing outdoor adventures, retreats, and group activities—such as rock climbing and Via Ferrata excursions in Estes Park—to rebuild the sense of camaraderie and trust found in service.
One-on-One Peer Coaching: Providing confidential, individualized guidance from mentors who have walked similar paths, helping individuals navigate mental wellness, sobriety, and personal resilience.
Education & Prevention: Hosting workshops, seminars, and local outreach initiatives aimed at destigmatizing mental health challenges, raising suicide awareness, and equipping communities to support their veterans.
CSU SVA Partnership
Through our collaboration, the CSU Student Veterans of America connects student veterans with CRF’s local programs, outdoor resilience events, and peer network across Northern Colorado. Whether looking to get involved as a volunteer, participate in community outings, or connect with fellow veterans off campus, CRF offers an immediate support structure beyond the university.
